After much PHP and Mysql stuff jumping around my monitor, while trying to get all of this stuff to actually stick in my head. I finally have the site up and running with it's very own Content Management System (CMS) and admin login system. Its been quite fun learning all these things about the script-languages AND setting up my very own Apache web server. If you are toying with the idea of getting into this BY ALL MEANS DO IT, the rewards for finishing the project are quite satisfying, by themselves even.

I'll copy the entire website onto it's own domain this week. Of course I still have 2 other work in progress (WIP) sites running here on my precious server, which don't need more bandwidth and can remain in their comfortable home on my server for the time being.

Well, even though I probably don't have any readers yet other then an occasional IRL buddy of mine popping onto the site. This one goes into the archives. And it also looks nicer with something on the news page other then No news items yet message it will show if the database is empty.

Oh and you probably noticed I have my very own BBcode running on this site for me to use. BBcode is pretty easy to write, well the simple stuff anyway...

If you have read this message, I welcome you to the site and hope you enjoy your stay. From now on I'll gradually start with the content of the site, of course starting with the most important thing and probably what you're here for -->

comic #1, Something odd

A small side note, this webcomic will be available in .swf and .jpg format. I've chosen the .swf option because I can then incorporate some small animations into the comic and as added benefit the format is also much smaller then .jpg (even at the 75% quality I use).

I you have JavaScript disabled or don't have the Flashplayer plugin installed, it will show the .jpg instead (made possible/reliable with the use of SWFobject). However, you are going to miss out on the animation part. I'm not sure how much I want to exploit flash for it's animation property, I guess I'll just have to see how much time it will take for animation (and onhover sounds?).

-->I'll try to keep the comic updates at 3 (maybe 4) comics a week.<--

I hope this will be the start of something nice and to entertain you all with this fresh new comic...
