Spore release date announced

A game I have been looking forward to, now finally has a release date, an official one that is. The game looked ready a few months ago and I was hoping for an earlier release, but we still have to wait for it a little bit more.
Spore has its releasedate set on september 7, 2008.

(NASDAQ: ERTS) and Maxis today announced that Spore™, the highly anticipated game from the creators of The Sims™, will be available at retailers worldwide the weekend of September 7. I hope the game is as good as I think it will be, because if this is even close to what I think it will be it will be the best game ever released. It has all the potential in the world given Will Wright's track record, I'm not to worried about this at all.
