My old 17" Samsung 171p TFT now has a new home and I am now going from single screen to dual screen. I must say this new setup is quite nice, even if I was a bit wary of the wide-screen stuff that is now available.
However it seems the new wide screens (while not only looking cool and sleek :D) do have another nice feature I wanted. I was worried about the screens stretching all my none wide screen stuff.
Yet a feature, which I thought they had left out, does exist. It can display any input 1:1 if you set it up to do this very thing. Keep in mind though, not all displays do this. I found out about this feature while fiddling with the calibration in the store. Sure you could do this with Ati/Nvidia calibration software, but I want a screen to do this!
Anyway I am now the proud owner of two 20" Samsung T200's seen below

Getting used to working on a dual screen setup took about 0.023 seconds. The world it opened up for me is amazing. I was an avid ALT+TAB user, but this extra screenspace given me a lot of order where once there was a somewhat controlled chaos!
With extra screenspace, I'm not just talking about the second monitor, but also about the extra "wide" space vs 4:3. This 20" wide screen is about as high as a 17" 4:3 screen yet wider, you know being wide screen and all. Also the resolution is much higher of course, so that helps.
The wallpaper is a collection of Cory "Squeal_Like_A_Pig" Strader's Naturals-Selection2 artwork/gallery Photoshoped together by me into the dual screen wallpaper.
