A new texturepack release, which goes back to the alpha of Minecraft. Remember back in the day before any biomes were introduced, adding all kinds of colors to the mix?
This texturepack tries to relive those days by removing the biome colors, changing everything back to the one green color it always had back in alpha.
That is, with the exception of Swamps, Birch trees and Pine trees. Those are all a bit darker. To get a the full effect I urge you to use this with the awesome "Better Swamps" mod, I mean this texturepack is compatible for a reason :)

Latest release Minecraft-v-1.0.0 compatible:

With build18 out of the way, which was mainly focused on getting the Sludgecreeper and Sludgecreep to work properly. Work can now begin on build19 for Containment.
This build will focus on the sprite animation and artwork for the main characters and of course their skill sets. And perhaps initial work can begin for the world artwork as well. The sprites for the main characters will use a minimum resolution of 128x128, depending on the amount of room they need for certain moves. Keep an eye out for the much needed eye-candy, instead of the developer placeholder artwork!
As usual you can keep track of the progress on the Containment progress page to see what has been finished or is being worked on.
An Indie Indeed showcase video for build18 for your viewing pleasure has been uploaded as well:

Alright, Herobrine is back and he packs quite a punch. Not a killing blow it seems, but a knockout blow indeed. Why he knocked me out and left me at my portal, I honestly don’t know.
There seem to be some weird signs though. My Creeper sensor is mighty fine, but it does not work on this guy. Seriously he should stop being so damn creepy and just tell me what the hell is going on instead.

The sludgecreeper has entered the world, it is a creature which creeps around the world and sludges everything. Why is this a bad thing, you ask?
Well let's just say, this sludge breaks doors, and makes things slippery. While also healing and buffing the aliens. So it is indeed a big issue if it is around. Add to this they also respawn in areas that are not cleared from Sludge, and Sludge is able to spawn other aliens and structures as well.
All of the above is premature though, because for the current Build18 iteration (006), I only have the following things working.
- Sludge breaks doors
- Sludgecreeper heals when left alone (not being attacked)
- Sludge makes things slippery, still needs loads of tweaking
And of course the doortypes. All of which you can see in this Indie Indeed Showcase video
Note:
There is a reason for the color selection for the stick figures btw. I actually used a CMYK as the colors, with a small variation for the magenta/pink guy, otherwise he would be invisible...

After about 39 episodes of Crafty Craftiness, give or take a few decimals, the world file is now finally public domain. You can download it down below and I hope you enjoy exploring the lands as much as I did creating the buildings and landmarks in there.
You can do whatever you want with the file, jus makes sure you have fun and perhaps when you find something awesome. Tell me about it, so I can have a look at it as well for the Crafty Craftiness series.
Using this seed will get you the world file shown in Crafty Craftiness Episode 39. Which is similar to some extend, but also quite dissimilar. Mainly because the world generator has changed a lot from alpha to it's current state...
